Welcome to our gallery of original print advertising celebrating the global legacy of Holden’s export era. From the 1960s Holden was a General Motors brand that reached far beyond Australian shores, selling to right-hand drive markets across the globe. These ads showcase how Holden vehicles were marketed across a diverse range of international markets, including Japan, South Africa, the Middle East, Indonesia, Malaysia, Fiji, New Zealand, and the Caribbean nations of Jamaica, Barbados, and Trinidad. In the 2000s, Holden broke into the US market with it’s left-hand drive Commodore and Statesman V8 models originally built for the Middle East. The images here reflects a unique slice of motoring history, offering insight into how Holdens were adapted and sold for a global audience.
