Introduced in 1967, even at 5.1 metres/16.7 feet in length, the Dart was referred to in the motoring press as ‘the baby Dodge’. Anywhere else in the world and that is a seriously long car - only in the US, hey?
Incredibly, the Dart body style survived until 1975 in both hardtop and sedan form. But it’s the early muscular versions that are most loved now - the Dart GTS 340 and 383 V8 Superbees. Chrysler Australia sold Darts locally as VF & VG Valiant hardtops from ‘69 to ‘71.
Tunnel Ram has put together a gallery of the best of the Dodge Dart from 1967 to 1975. Take a look back in time to these classic Dodges via original magazine advertisements that capture the muscle car and youth vibes of the times.
