The Chevelle was Chevy’s mid-sized offering produced in three generations from 1964 through 1977. Built on the GM A-body platform, the Chevelle was one of Chevrolet's most successful nameplates. Offered as a coupe, sedan, convertible and station wagon – it is the Super Sport versions from 1967 to 1973 that are remembered best. The 1970 Chevelle SS-454 was one of the very fastest muscle cars ever made, some pundits regarding it as numero uno.
