Mercury Motor Division was created by FoMoCo in 1930 to plug a gap between Ford and Lincoln. Before its' demise in 2011, Mercury made some truly memorable cars including the ’49 coupe so beloved of ‘chop top’ and ‘lead sled’ custom car freaks. Models include the Comet, Meteor, Monterey, Cougar, Cyclone and Park Lane. Mercury also churned out some serious muscle including the 427 equipped Marauder of '63, a 428 V8 powered Cyclone, and the muscle Cougars in GT, GT-E & '69 Eliminator guise.
